South East Europe Transnational Cooperation programme
NEWADA duo is co-funded under the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation programme of the European Union.
The EU South East Europe Transnational Cooperation programme (www.southeast-europe.net) aims to develop transnational partnerships on matters of strategic importance, in order to improve the territorial, economic and social integration process and to contribute to cohesion, stability and competitiveness of the region.
EU Regional Policy (Inforegio)
EU regional policy is an investment policy. It supports job creation, competitiveness, economic growth, improved quality of life and sustainable development. These investments support the delivery of the Europe 2020 strategy.
SEE Thematic Capitalisation Strategy
The South East Europe Programme has created a Thematic Capitalisation Strategy to streamline the process of creating synergies between projects and capitalising on results of previous initiatives. The SEE Thematic Capitalisation Strategy aims to strengthen the links between SEE projects working on similar topics (so-called “Thematic Poles”), to enable projects to exploit and consolidate one another's achievements, and create a higher leverage effect. This will enhance the visibility and impact of both projects and programme. The Thematic Pole 7 involves SEE projects (SEETAC, ACROSSEE, ADB Multiplatform, SEE-ITS, NEWADA/NEWADA duo, SETA, WATERMODE, DAHAR, NELI, GIFT, HINT), which are tackling the development of primary accessibility in the SEE region supporting a multimodal transport area, in line with the TEN-T transport network.
The project NEWADA duo is member of the Thematic Pole 7 and supports this transnational initiative both by sharing expertise with regard to Danube navigation and infrastructure during executed joint workshops and events and by contributing to future concepts for enhancing traffic and transport infrastructure in South East European regions.
